Independent Collection

It started when photographer Charlene asked me if she could photograph some of my older designs. That gave me the idea to make new looks to go with them, so the project became a mix of past and present work.

At the time I was really into tulle: how it falls, how it moves and how much it changes a silhouette. I wanted something soft and delicate that still has an edge, so I played a lot with shapes and with the contrast between soft and structured.
